Bernhard Westfechtel received his diploma degree from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1983 and his doctoral as well as his habilitation degree (all in computer science) from RWTH Aachen University in 1991 and 1999, respectively. Since 2004, he has been a full professor of computer science (in software engineering) at University of Bayreuth. His current research interests include graph transformations, model-driven engineering, software product line engineering, and software configuration management.
